22nd World Scout Jamboree

The 22nd World Scout Jamboree will take places at Rinkaby near Kristianstad in southern Sweden between 27th July and 7th August 2011.

On Monday November 23rd 2009 the representatives of the leader team for the next World Jamboree in Sweden are visiting Worcester to give a presentation about the event.

The meeting will be at the 1st Worcester Scout hut at 7:30pm.

At this stage it was felt best to invite Scout Leaders and Explorer Scout Leaders along to get more information so that you can go back to the young people in your sections to try and sell the opportunity of applying for a place in the Hereford and Worcester Contingent.

Those young people who do apply will have the backing of the District Team and ultimately those from Worcester who are successful will get full help with their fundraising efforts.

We would like a representative from each Scout Troop and Explorer Unit/YL Unit along on the evening if possible as we would really like to take up the 4 places available to the District.

Can you please let me, ADC Activities (cc'd to Jan the DC) know if you can attend or if not who will be representing your Troop/Unit.
